Yesaterday's Condo

Shadow is his old sweet self again...he was waiting on the testing towel for me to test his ear this morning. I prepared my instruments and ran over to Raja first. He really didn't eat so much so I sprinkled more chicken dust on top and hopefully he will eat a little more. I vaguely remember the ravenous days when he couldn't get enough food into his mouth. :lol:
Shoot Low to Stay Low....here we are, morning after an increase, seeing nice numbers.
Of course I got up last night, even if he was pink at PMPS...I never skip unless I have an alarm malfunction....boy, these strips are going fast! nailbite_smile I will never be in test strip heaven at this rate!! How many boxes do I need as a backup to help me feel safe and under control???

Are you sure it's the last Saturday? I am using Miriam's calendar, where there are another 200 or so days left this month.

Looking really good today. Hooray, a green AMPS for Shadow!

I'm the hoarder, I just ordered an entire case of Maxima strips directly from the mfg., $11 a box. Whoo Hooo! That should last at least a couple of months.

What a nice morning number for Shadow! Guess he likes his new dose! I would think you will have to double the number of strips you usually buy--yes??! Either that or cut down on those nighttime tests!!!!! (impossible, I know).

strips by the case - that should do it! I too need to take that approach - box after box week after week - will there ever be enough? probably not. :-D

Nice amps Shadow. WOW Pat that must have felt goods this morning. Looks like the new dose is a good one. Ok Shadow, no higher, and stay green... we can pretend that the +1 is a food spike.

this is too funny.... I like Miriams' calendar - that would mean that we could be just entering spring, and have more months of summer left... :-D

hee hee you on hoarders - yes, folks this here is the story of the crazy cat lady, who chases her cats around the house, under the tables and behind tvs, why just to poke their ears and make em bleed! and she has a houseful of strips. Yes, you heard correctly, this lady has a house full of strips and still feels it isn't enough. She is about to fill the garage and the houses next door too. Soon her neighborhood will be filled with strips and still it won't be enough!

What is she going to do?

Awesome AMPS for Shadow!!

You all are cracking me up about Hoarders....I love watching those shows on TV! I actually just had to open a new box of strips last night and I went to my "stash" and saw I only had 2 boxes left (along with 2 boxes of 100 count syringes) and I started to get nervous and immediately had to go order more!! Never can have too much!!

Morning Pat - good numbers for Shadow so far - level out now, Shadow-waddow. You guys are cracking me up with the Hoarders stuff. It's like looking in the mirror, scored a couple more boxes yesterday and wondered then if I was buying enough. I guess with two you'll go thru these at a clip.

Pat I hear you on the strips. I am constantly on Ebay try to score cheap strips - even when I have several boxes in the cupboard. ohmygod_smile It's never enough.

Hey....in my world there are still 1,254 shopping days left until Christmas...I bet you wished you lived in my world now huh Linda?

I know what you mean about the strips Pat.....but I like to live on the edge and talk about how much I need to order strips then realize I am down to my last 50 then order them so I can stress over whether or not they will get her in time......now that is what I call living. :lol:

Awww - he sounds like a sweetie. Maybe he's being extra sweet because Raja is giving you a hard time! He doesn't want you to completely lose it!

I currently have 300 strips in my cabinet, and I almost feel prepared. :smile: I'd be broke if I had two kitties going through this. You're amazing Pat!

I usually buy 5 packages of 50 strips each to feel secure!! & I use Accu check!
They should give us rewards of one free box for every 10 purchased!

oh my god...we are all in the strip club! i hit wally world today cuz i only had 2 50 pks on hand...popped 5 more 50 pks out of the dispenser and stood there and thought about whether i should wait in the line of about 16 people to get more from behind the counter...

i'm loving the miriam calendar...that means we might slow this slippery slope to aging that i seem to be bobsledding down...
