Woke up this morning at shot time - rushed in to test Muffin. 2 other cats were in there with us getting in the way, the drooler was right outside the door watching from the hallway, took me 2 strips and 4 pokes to get a 77. Wasn't sure it was accurate, so spent 15 mins feeding everyone else and letting them outside and tested again. 85 this time, so the 77 was probably accurate. So shot was 15 mins late this morning.

Muffin is beffis'ing on 2 slices of turkey, she took a break to use the LB. No play yet this morning, but she's gotten some exercise running up and down the stairs behind me trying to get turkey. :lol: Have a nice calm quiet peaceful day planned - trip to walmart for batteries for the magnifying glass (hope it didn't break already) doing DD's laundry she dropped off yesterday :roll: watching a couple movies and getting some testing done. Gotta go refill the turkey - just saved the dish from being pushed off the desk! Then visit condos!

Weeble: Just got a few slices - I know better than to assume she's going to eat something new. :lol: And at least we can eat it!

79 @ +2 - second reduction number already today, and I can't give her any less. I'm sure the recent diet change is responsible, but she can't live on turkey forever. Little Miss Piggy this morning! Over her breffis hours, she ate 5 slices of turkey and about 1/8 cup kibble. I fed the kibble cause the amt of salt in the turkey is a little scary, and figured the kibble would give her a bit of the other things she needs for balanced diet. The package says 6 slices of turkey is 1 serving (course that's a human serving, not a feline serving) and has 50 calories, so figured the kibble would help make up calories too. Now at +2, she's sitting at her food spot wanting more! Yep, there she goes knocking things over, in case I don't understand what she's telling me! :lol: Guess I'll give her another slice of turkey - that should be better than more kibble, right?

Fed slice of turkey at +2. This still did not satisfy her, so 1/8 cup kibble at +3. She has finally settled down for a nap. No idea why she was so famished this morning.

Well, this is interesting that she is such a turkey freak now...hope you get some rest! :razz:

Nice day for Muffin! :mrgreen: Do you think it would work to mix little scraps of a slice of the turkey in with a teeny-tiny bit of wet food and gradually increase the wet food? Maybe even a wet food containing turkey? Maybe the flavors would mingle and she'd build up to it. Just a thought. Beautiful numbers! I hope this turkey-eating leads to more break-throughs.

Janice - That sounds like a good idea - I think I will do it that way eventually. I want to just let her get used to eating turkey and fall completely in love with it before I change anything else. She used to like chicken chunks, but I may have introduced the yucky canned stuff with it too soon, and now she doesn't care much for chicken chunks. She is liking the turkey a LOT more than she ever did the chicken, tho, and I don't want to lose that. So I will leave it as it is for several days and then try a couple drops of canned food in the dish with it. (and turkey canned food is a good idea - do they make a smoked turkey flavor? :lol: ) I think it's the smoked smell/flavor she likes the most.

I wonder if she'd eat raw turkey? Just keep in mind that turkey isn't a nutritionally balanced diet.

Amanda - I will see what I can do to accomodate that!

Sienne - I know, but hoping for a few days it'll be ok, and that's why I'm still giving her a bit of kibble.

Amanda asked so you all shall receive! This is just a taste - a mild version, if you will, of Muffin letting me know she's hungry. Mind you, it gets worse than this, this is still an hour and a half before dinner time!



ETA: About 30 seconds after I stopped filming, the dish went on the floor. Usually, the clock and the speaker behind her both get knocked over too. Along with any water bottles or cups/glasses I have sitting on the desk.

Muffin looks like my Josie but is acting like a younger Tuscany - she used to shove things off counters all the time. Liking your blue surf!

That is so cute...she knows how to get your attention. But it looks as if the dish going overboard is the last resort. She wants to keep that close in case you fill it but everything else can go! :lol:

Oh Muffin! That is too cute. noticed the food bowl has a little chink out of one edge - guess it was a previous casualty. :lol: She does everything but write a letter doesn't she? that is darling.

Thanks for all the comments - Muffin read them and is sitting here primping and preening after her turkey with her chest all puffed out with pride! :lol: Several of the cat dishes have chinks out of them, thanks to her.

I think DS made a turkey sandwich out of Muffin's turkey! :YMSIGH: There were only 4 slices left, so could only give her 2 tonight, and save 2 for breffis. Not sure she'll be satisfied with that. I tried the oven roasted to make up the difference, but she's not buying it. May have to send DS out to replace it! :lol:
 
Wow. That was a quick turnaround. That's so hilarious. I love how she comes in with the tail swish, starts small, as though giving you a chance to stop this from getting any worse. The best part is when she gives it a nice hard swat and then looks at you to see if you understand that she means business.
