Another busy day at tbp, but I will try to visit condos this afternoon. Blackie must have had fun at the party last night - he had a little bit of blue on and this morning's numbers aren't bad.

WCR: Blackie is feeling good. I put catnip on one of the turboscratchers this morning and Blackie wouldn't let Bitsy near it. When I left he was laying on the turboscratcher - cute! All p's in place this morning.

Hi, and good start today! maybe a mellow yellow day... Love the catnip - Mannie will do that too. He considers it his stash, and won't let the others anywhere near it. Sleeps on it too.

I forgot to report on my insulin order. I ordered the Solostar pens on 7/26 from canadadrugsonline.com and I received is yesterday - 11 days. The cold pack was still cold, but the cold pack holding the Lantus was kind of loose inside the foam box and could have moved around a lot. So I am concerned about the Lantus being shaken. I emailed the company this morning about this. I won't really know if its okay until we use it - I just hope its okay. FYI - It was $125 total compared to $218 at my local Sams Club or Walmart.

I don't think the loose pack could have caused much more of a shaking problem than the fact that it was just in transit and tossed around a bit. The stuff isn't THAT delicate though. I think the concern about shaking and such is about daily treatment concern more than an occasional bout.

Thanks for the report on CanadaDrugs, Ele. I just learned about them after I bought the new pens a few weeks ago, but I am amazed at the cost difference. I'll be interested to know how they work out for you. But how in the world can they make a cold pack that stays cold for 11 days?! And why don't we use those on camping trips instead of ice?

I hope Blackie comes down out of that yellow. It seems many, many kitties are surfing yellow or pink today; it's a little weird. Got any fun plans for the weekend? :smile:

Hey, there's a party tonight! Well, two parties; first at Moonie's, then at Shadow's! Wanna come by and pick me up on the way to Moonie's? It's gonna be lots of fun. Mannie, Raja, and Shadow will have war stories from the vet (maybe one of them puked on a shoe or something exciting!) and there will be lots of good food. I can't wait! See you soon!
