Today is Putty's 7th birthday. This is the actual day he was born. When we went to the MSPCA near our hometown we saw a tiny litter with the cutest little gray and white cat. My DD was only 10 at the time and she really wanted the gray and white one but we were told that he was too young to adopt and that they would be going into foster care for 6 weeks. She kept going back to see if there was another kitten she wanted but she kept saying it did not feel like the right one. About 6 weeks later we went back and there was a litter that had just been brought back from foster care ready for adoption. My DD picked up a the little gray and white one and he curled up in a ball and fell asleep on her lap. She said she found the right one. He was the cutest little kitten. To be honest I did not want a cat because I never did really like them (so I thought) but something about him just hit me in the heart. He would sit and tilt his little head to one side and you could not help but love him. He did not make a sound not even one little meow. The first time we brought him to the vet I told him I thought there was something wrong with him because he was too quiet.
Seven years later he still tilts his head to the side when you are talking to him and he is still very quiet. He has the tiniest little mew to let you know he wants something. For someone who thought they were a non-cat person I cannot begin to tell you how much I love this little guy. He has been so much fun. He has certainly become my best buddy. cat_pet_icon
