Latte was not very happy with me when she came home from the party, because I did not pack her blue dress! She said she was soooooo embarrassed! :? Apparently SOMEONE let her borrow some blue jeans and a blue tshirt....if anyone knows who it belongs to, she will be happy to return it! (actually she told me *I* should be the one to return it :roll: ).

I was certain we were going to see black this a.m., since the last time she took a similar dive in a short period of time into the same range, she was in black for days. So far, so good. I dont know if I will get over the fear of this happening until I see a loooooong pattern of it NOT. Im very grateful that so far the bounce is still just pink, even if barely.

We had a problem with her pred (steroid) today. I pilled her and only 1/2 pill came back out. (Usually takes a few tries to get it down). I thought that was wierd. Then I realized there are still a few half pills in there...and I think I may have grabbed 1/2 pill instead of a whole. :YMSIGH: This is not the kind of thing you can give more of, even if you are fairly certain they didnt get it all. So she may only have half the a.m. dose in her. Considering her insulin dose is often related to how much pred she is taking, it makes me a tad nervous. I dont know if there is going to be any difference or not in how she takes this cycle.

Since the U told me about the injectible pred (which they no longer stock), I did some research last night. All along its been under my nose. Looks like the compounding pharmacy I have used for many of her meds has an injectible suspension. I will be on it first thing tomorrow a.m. with her vet. I dont care if the cost means Im eating pb&j for the rest of HER life....she is getting it. This pilling is for the birds, no matter

Latte looked terrific at the party in her borrowed blue jeans and shirt. She did a great job tending the bathtub full of niptinis! Hi Carolyn! It's nice to see a lower AMPS. Don't worry too much about the pred pill. You can't do anything about it anyway! It's great that you'll be able to get the medicine in a liquid form. I eat PB&J every day. I love it! I miss it if for some reason I don't have it! Can you get Teddie peanut butter where you live? It is absolutely the best (the only ingredient is peanuts) and it is not expensive, unlike so many of the "premium" peanut butters.

Hi kids....guess latte didn't mention the dunking in the bathtub last night...just as well....she was very upset at first. I guess the niptinis were cold and quite a shock! She had been doing a great job doling out the drinks when.... well, I don't know HOW it happened....but I think someone pushed Maui and she fell into Latte and well, it was just a silly accident and no one was hurt so that is what is important.... but somehow, they both ended up IN the DRINK!

After the shock of the cold on her skin, she began to laugh along with Maui who was beside her...and everything was fine. No rough housing around the niptini tub is the new slogan now! Latte left her post in the bathroom after that and let the lost tabby boy do the bartending while she did some dancing. She and Maui laughed about it all night long. New rule: no niptinis in the bathtub anymore!

Nice to see that Latte is going in the right direction this morning. Latte is such a loved girl and you really do take such good care her Carolyn, even willing to eat pb&j sammies so that she could get her meds. Oh what a wonderful mummiebean!!

That wasn't a bad bounce at all. Something is going good with Latte and we all like it! Blackie said Latte was really cute in blue jeans last night. bcatrun_gif He was quite taken with her, even though she did fall in the tunaritas. He can't wait to see her at the next party!

a 200 pt drop is a little more than I would like to see in 4 hrs. But I guess its better than 200pts in 1-2hrs.

Praying even harder that she wont bounce into the red or blacks.

Well she could have been 389 at AMPS, 330 at +1, 271 at +2, 225 at +3, and 181 at +4
I guess that's still a lot to drop, but maybe it's a steady drop at least. Hoping for no great bounces.

Pretty much identical cycle to last nights, only she dropped a little slower in the beginning and may have held on to the yellows a little longer.

PMPS may be slightly kibble induced. She was on a kibble kick today, so there may be more influence in her #'s later tonight. Its too bad, but she did eat on her own.

I think she had a good day. A few hrs after her a.m. shot she came out of the bathroom. My busting in to clean a little in there may have contributed to that. :? She spent most of her time looking comfy under the piano. Made a trip to the back patio to see amy's winston off and eat some grass. She is back in the bathroom, no doubt a little peeved from getting pilled.

We have avoided any reds for a few days now. Im a little worried we might break that streak tonight. She typcially does not move much in pm cycles...and often times if she does, its up.

ETA: her meter read 385 for amps, not the 389 i originally posted (get a little foggy in tha.m.). Thought it was worth changing since its rare to get sme amps AND pmps!

sounds like a pretty good day for Latte.

My vet thinks it's funny that now whenever I need a medicine for one of my cats, my first question is "does that come in injectable?" Most clients are scared to give shots, and I would much rather give shots than try to pill or get liquid meds in. At least they can't spit it out or fling it all over the walls.

I wonder what is different that she can start consistently dropping in her pm cycle? Weird!

I think she is in a good range for me to go to work this week and feel she will be safe. Maybe look toward an increase on thursday to see if she can bring it down a small notch.
