Latte spent her evening between the bathroom and food bowl (note: I said food, not water!
)! She was up every hour on the hour from nearly 30min after shot time until bed, eating small bits of her wet food. She actually 'asked' me for it (not typical) and had no encouragement from me to eat (but lots of praise, of course). She finished nearly an entire can of ff. This is rare, and not expected to become norm. Its certainly is a load off when it happens, tho. Its like I can suddenly relax...focus on a movie, read, or even take an evening nap. A little slow to go with the food this a.m., but with encouragement every 30 min or so, she IS eating.
Latte is very soft this a.m. Not sure if she went any lower last night. So far the reprecussions seem acceptable with her being in the mid 300's at amps. I *think* she may have eaten some kibble over night, so that could also account for a bit of it. And if the +2 is any indicator its a bounce, then we will take it...sure beats bouncing into the 400+!
Latte and I would like to give a big thanks to LL for all the amazing support, in so many ways, as we seem to be getting slammed with one struggle after another. The generousity of this group is unbelievable. I would have never imagined one website could bring so many people together to make such a difference in one cat's and beans life. At times I look at Latte and think about all the love people have sent our way and get this overwhelming sense that its much bigger than I can even wrap my head around. From the bottom of our hearts we thank each and every one of you...whether it be just keeping an eye on us, posting regularly to encourage, offering suggestions, studying her ss, providing donations to help us dig to the bottom of things instead of cutting corners...every single one of you HAS made a HUGE difference in our lives. I can say with absolute certainty that Latte's life would have been cut shorter if it were not for this group.
Sarah and Velcro/LLEF- We are so grateful that you have kept an eye on us (w/o us even knowing!)...that you know when we REALLY need help. A sincere thanks to all of you who contribute to LLEF, whether it be to help Latte or any other cat whose bean is having a hard time financially managing the care of their cat - both in maintenance and emergencies.
And of course CIN- Venita, always making sure Latte has what she needs....I certainly hope she is enjoying her vacation, btw!
May good karma be close to everyone's side...and may someday I be able to pay forward all the kindness that has been sent our way.
