yesterday: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=16863

I wasn't feeling very well yesterday, so Morris didn't get any extra checks done & I didn't even get back online to post his PMPS results. As soon I was done dealing with him, I went straight to bed! Thankfully, however, I seem to be feeling a bit better today!

Although Morris is continuing to eat well, I still think there is something bothering him. He has been increasingly vocal the past few days (Meowing & meowing....for attention?!?!) and this is not like him. In the past, he has called out for me when he could hear me coming & just wanted to make sure I didn't forget about him (but please, can I stop in the washroom before heading in to see him in the morning?!?). But the past few days, he has been calling out for us at all different times. He has even been standing at the door calling out for us just a few moments after being fed & suppposedly happy!

Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions?

As for the P's....all of them, except for playing, seem to be working fine.

Re: 6/11 Morris AMPS 205 - think something is still wrong though

I'm kinda wondering if he's going low with all that meowing - or maybe he's just talking to you.
keep an eye on him thou, hopefully this weekend we can see whats up in between shots.

sorry you're not feeling well, take care of yourself too.

Whenever I'm suspicious I'll :
take their temp
peak in their mouth/gums
check all over for cuts or fleas
look in the ears
poke around gently in the tummy. (Cody has had trouble with megacolon)
see if they seem dehydrated by lifting the scruff
check for urine ketones with ketostrips
obviously spot check sugar
maybe feed them a bit more if hungry

Its all pretty easy stuff, maybe it'll give you some clues. Maybe he just wants more attention from time he missed yesterday. Your a great mom for noticing his signals. Hope everything is fine! :-D

My older civie will sit in the hallway and yell..for nothing at all. Even after shes just eaten. I think shes going a bit senile. Spike will go around meowing if theres something going on outside like another cat walking through the yard. Sometimes I think hes just bored and wants attention.

is he still on mirtz?

Cosmo gets more vocal when he's on mirtz.

if it has been awhile since he's had the mirtz, I would wonder about... constipation, pain, hairball, pancreatitis, etc.

have you checked him for ketones?

((Morris))

Glad you're feeling better Gwen!

Tonight, Morris stole a nicely baked chicken breast off of Brooke's dinner plate! She hadn't cut it yet, so he managed to make off with the entire piece! Luckily, it was just a plain baked chicken breast without any topping/sauce/etc on it.

Nope....last dose was given to him on June 4

Last time I checked was on June 8. Every time I have checked, he has been negative.

Oh Morris what a naughty boy! At least chicken is low carb. He must be feeling better to be able to go thieving.
