1/7 Bo Going to the Vets

Good Morning Everyone,

Bo is at the vets today. They are going to sedate him so that they can do a normal checkup on him and take a look at his teeth/gums. He has not been eating well the last week or so. Someone had suggested baby food and he lapped it up yesterday. I probably won't be picking him until 3 o'clock this afternoon. I am hoping and praying that nothing is seriously wrong with him. I will update later when he returns home.

Hi Mike: I was looking for you earlier to wish you well today. Snowflakes that it is nothing serious just maybe a tooth. Keep us posted and try and have a good day.
 
Very sad news to report for my Bo

Bo has been diagnosed with liver cancer that has spread to his pancreas. We had gone to the regular vets and an xray was taken of his abdomen. The vet said that something was wrong but couldn't pinpoint, he really couldn't make out the organs. We then went across the state to a 24 hour emergency vet service where an ultrasound found the cancer.

I am very sad that Bo doesn't have long to live, I will make his remaining days as comfortable as possible.

I am so sorry.

Love him. Spoil him. Let him eat anything he wants. In the words of Gia and Quirk, "cancer kitties are allowed to have anything their little hearts desire." I could not agree more. My thoughts are with you and Bo.
 
I am soo sorry to hear of this news. :cry: This is seriously making me tear up.
I know you will do everything you can to keep Bo comfortable and enjoy his remaining time with you.

Dang! I wish I could make it all better for both of you. Please know you have all the support you need from this group. We will be with you every step of the way.

Hug that kitty hard, and then spoil him rotten. High carb food every day if he wants (and heck, even dry food if that's what he wants). I'm so sorry for this diagnosis.
 
(((((Mike- Bo))))) I am typing through tears. I am so sorry. I know how devoted you are to Bo. Enjoy what time you have and lavish him with whatever he wants. Please continue to post for us more than you.

I am so sorry, Mike. Things like this just shouldn't happen to kitties. Love him and spoil him as much as possible. You both are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sorry to see this, Mike. Was really hoping it was something minor for Bo. We're here for you, don't hesitate to speak up if any of us can do anything at all for you and Bo.
 
Mike so sorry it is such devastating news.
Life can be so cruel when you've worked so hard at controlling Bo's diabetes.

I hope you can make the most of your time together, gets lots of memories to keep.

Just had to opportunity to drop into your condo, Mike. My heart is heavy with sadness and my eyes are filling with tears. I am so very sorry to hear this news. I was hopeing that it was a tooth issue.

I agree, love Bo and give him anything his little heart desires. Tell him we all love him.

Oh, I'm so sorry...I had something similar happen this summer with my kitty Jessie, so I know how you feel. :sad:

i am so sorry to read this post. it brings back so many memories of kitties from the past. ones so cherished and loved. gone but never forgotten. my heart is with you.
