WCR: another pink morning. Yuck. Not sure what's going on, but today she gets a dose increase back up to 2.75. She's now currently eating breakfast and twix is as well. This morning twix has a vet appt for her rodent ulcer. I'm beyond nervous over the appt because I don't know what to tell the vet I want her to get. After that long thread on the convenia injection and the fact that twix can't be pilled, I'm just scared the vet is going to push the convenia on us. She had that twice last year, two weeks apart.

OMG! Mocha is eating Twix!!!

If Twix tolerated Convenia before, there's no reason to think that it will be a problem. I think one of the issues with Convenia is that it was being used for infections other than skin infections, which is what it's for. Because it was an injection, vets were using it for all sorts of problems when people didn't want to pill their cat. There is, of course, the issue of it lasting for a long time but, as you noted, Twix has done well with it in the past.

thanks sienne, for explaining that. Sometimes the information on this site can be a bit overwhelming for me to understand .. I should know to go straight to you from now on! :lol: anyways, the vet decided this ulcer was not infected and she chose not to do an antibiotic, just the depomedrol shot. I am hoping she won't need anymore after this one.

I'm just catching up from a screwy weekend and saw you post. So sorry about BIL, ai know the trauma you sister must be going through. It happened to my sister too, it might feel like nothing you can do will help, but just being there does wonders. Mocha is just fine and your sister needs you, bottom line. :YMHUG: :YMHUG: For you and your sister.

Well, that is so good that Twix doesn't need any AB....hope it heals quickly for you. Hppe mocha keeps coming down....hope the increase helps to bring those #s down more!
