Yesterday’s Condo for Oliver

Oliver is doing pretty well; his internal alarm clock has been adjusted to +11.5 because he knows he is getting nothing before then except a pat on the head over the side of the bed..

He is very settled in the morning ritual, knows testing leads to foods, and he sits nicely and waits. I am thinking he is feeling better partly because of knowing the routine and feeling settled in his life and surroundings now. I wonder if he feels more sure because he was taken to another vet place, but he was brought home the same day and showered with attention. I think he's starting to feel like he's home.

He is loving his raw chicken treats, but I should think about additives if he is going to have much raw foods in his diet.
I have started to open separate big cans so that I can keep track of how much this guy is actually eating. Yesterday was just under 2 cans for him and 3/4 for Shadoe. The cans are 396g or just under 14oz. Ugh no wonder they are porkers. Add on the chicken he eats and it's no wonder he is a nice solid boy now.

No pictures today; can't post here due to quota?
Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached.

Nice numbers for your boy today...he sounds like such a sweetie! Good thing too cause Shadoe is a big enough b--ch for your entire household.... LOLOLOL (Raja tends towards that herself so I know...the bit about checking out the other one's dish to see what's in there...oh...I know..I know!!)

Re: 5/19 Oliver amps 203 +2~247

Good morning Gayle
Great report for Oliver and fantastic numbers for him. Love that yellow but he goes up from here right? Still trying to understand all that goes on with him, love it but wha a challenge.

I am so happy that he is just so happy with his new mom and sisters. he has to be wondering how in the world he got so lucky to come from Maine to Canada and have a new life.
Such a lucky, lucky boy!!!

Re: 5/19 Oliver amps 203 +2~247

I am finding this late nadir business really wierd; I am guessing what he is going to be at so I know how much R to give him now for 4hrs down the road. Freaky.

I can't post pictures today; anyone else having problems?

Re: 5/19 Oliver amps 203 +2~247 +4~200 +6~184 IAA=60 positive

I got a call from the vet earlier; Oliver's IAA results were in.

His IAA result was 60% which is way over the 20 positive cutoff number.
I picked up his lab results printouts from msu before posting here; I wanted to make sure the vet was correct, and I wanted to see with my own eyes.

So, Oliver is acro positive with 325 and IAA positive with 60.
I think those numbers pretty much explain his insulin resistance.

Their pmps is in an hour; I'll go and update our signature now to add the IAA for Oliver.

Re: 5/19 Oliver amps 203 +2~247 +4~200 +6~184 IAA=60 positive

Wow, sorry about both Acro and IAA for Oliver. He is in the best hands possible though.

Nice blue at +6 though!

"There's no place like home, there's no place like home." And Oliver has found his. He couldn't be in better hands.

Geez... didn't expect the IAA to be positive too. That is the pits. (I typed another phrase, but then censored myself.)
Oliver really is a unique kitty and he fell into the right home for sure. And look how pretty his numbers are today with everything you have to deal with. Yeah for Gayle, the miracle worker! :-D

Say Oliver, sounds like you are a lucky boy with a gem of a Mom. And, all things considered, you are doing pretty well. And, we're hoping things get even better for you too.
