Yesterday's (stressful) condo: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=14306

Well, hopefully last night's little hypo issue was a temporary, stress-related glitch. Vesta's back in the low 300's, which I know long term is cruddy, but short term makes me feel a little better. I'd rather see her #s go down gradually, not all of a sudden giving us a heart attack. We shot our usual 2 units based on that. I'll check again at +2 and +4, then I have to head to work.

She's in good spirits- I came down to my parents to be with her this am... Hopefully that's a good thing for her. She's curled up on the top rung of her cat tree right now, giving me the "Whatever, I don't need you" look... But I know it's 'cause she really loves me :)

Thanks again for all your help last night, guys.... Made it a lot easier to go through!

We're doing good today (so I hear from my parents)... active and settled into their house. She's getting lots of cat_pet_icon DH will be home soon to get a +10 reading.

We'd like to transition her back to our 7am/pm timing for shots (upped it to 9am/pm because of yesterdays low #s). Depending on what she shoots at +10 and +11, do you think it'd be ok to start inching her back towards that? What time increments should we do?

Thx...

Generally, you can shift 15 min. per cycle or 30 min. once a day. There are some exceptions -- like if numbers are running high -- but you should be OK if you start shifting tomorrow and through the weekend.

Just so it's clear on your SS, I would put the amount you shot last night in the PM dose column. You can then put a note in the comments section that you shot late.

You did great last night!

Thanks Sienne :) I can't take most of the credit- it's Vesta who kept herself from having real hypo symptoms despite some low (for her) #s, and DH who dealt with the 1/2hrly testing! I think the whole family makes a good team  Here's to some real, good greens in our future!

Gave the PM shot at 11.75 (before we read your "start it tomorrow" post)... We'll gradually get it down 15 minutes per shot 'till we're back on schedule.
