Yesterday's Condo

Early morning snuggles before the alarm went off - I love starting the day that way. It reminds me of what's important. Gabby ate well and is now keeping close watch on the hallway. You never know who might walk down that hall!

What is it with these hallway cats?!?!?! Latte is the same...sits in the hallway. Its forever been her favorite place, no matter where we live (except the one time we didnt have a hallway, then she was lost! :lol: ). Its funny how they pick up their spots.

Looks like Gabby is making a break for it again this morning! Good Girl!

Still dropping and I've got to go to tbp soon. I'm trying to not let Gabby drop to decrease territory, especially this soon after her last decrease. I'm using food to manipulate her curve so her liver gets better trained and her pancreas has more time to heal. Now, if she would just arrange the excitement when I have more flexibility with my schedule!

Nice numbers today. Sorry you have to go tbp and miss the excitement. I hope Gabby likes her numbers today and surfs.

wow - way to go Gabby! Why is it they always pull these drops on days when we have to be at tbp! She sure is looking good these days.

I'm hoping this PMPS is the extent of Gabby's bounce from her green morning. She got a good amount of the high octane food to keep her numbers in a good green surf range. The mad dash home to check on her at +5.5 was fun -- she was under the futon in the study and none of the food in the feeder was touched. Of course, I'm laying on the floor trying to coax her out. When I finally got her tested, of course her numbers were just fine! She is going to wear me out!! But, the good news is that at least at first blush, this may be a strategy to flatten out some of the bouncing. Stay tuned to this channel for future developments!

nice job using food today. you collected some good data for future reference, too. for instance, when you have a 100 point drop at +2, try feeding straight hc instead of hc with her mini-meal. it *might* keep her from dropping into the 50s and 60s. since you're looking to flatten her out (rather than earning a dose reduction) the goal is to keep her in the upper double digits or low 100s. *hopefully* this will keep her from bouncing.

it's a learning process. what you're doing with gabby may be totally different than anyone else is doing with their kitty, but that's ok. it's just a matter of finding a method that suits her majesty. you're doing great! :-D
