shot a BCS dose of 1.0u. probably shouldn't have but we'll see. she did eat all of her breakfast right after getting her shot. i'll leave a little extra food out for her and will get a quick test right before we leave to see if the food is raising her at all yet

well at +0.5 she was still at 53 sooooooooo, i stirred just a little HC gravy in some food and left it in her bowl. she will eat when low so if need be that should do the job

Well I'm glad she didn't go lower, and that you know she'll eat when she needs to! :-D

I Wonder if Mousie has graduated to a SK1.5. Cindy, could you add the word DOSE to your subject line..... here's what I thinkus (but could be stinkus too)

on the 27 - PM ++3 = 29 after you shot BCS of 1U (vs 1.5) - no dosecrease taken and 20s totally dosecrease numbers.

So... after the low 30s, comes RBC and mamabean goes to work and little spot checks... because work and sleep gets in the way.

Today, AMPS was 53 and you also shot a BCS of 1 and had to go to work... not judging, just stating (right, don't get mad, I work too). No idea where Mousie went from that....

And.... typically, her BG doesn't jump at meal time... so likely... went down....
Good girl to use MC and/or HC.... you may BCS, but the shed is still there to give oumf (is that a word?).

See why i think a dosecrease or shave might be in order?

let's see what others think. I'm just going to have ice cream now...that was a lot of thinking! :lol:

totally makes sense to me Helene and heck i'm game to try it.

one thing that is definitely different with her on lantus vs. pzi i must say, she always got about a 100 pt food spike on pzi within an hour of eating. so far she doesn't seem to get any on lantus.

and yeah i've been slacking a little with the testing i know. with working our butts off these last 3 weeks, then the little treedwellers and stuff going on in life i definitely got worse about it this last week. will hopefully do better this week.

I agree with the dosecrease. Yay! Look at Mousie go!

You might even want to go to 1.25. She did hit 20's on 1.5, that's pretty low and usually we force people to do full 0.25 when they hit 20's...

question: the low numbers this week though, is it due to the really poor shot schedule? overlap? i mean, one day her amps was at only +10.5

could be, but the shot before that was +13.5 so that would have cancelled out the early shot a little bit. All those yellow PS numbers make me wonder if she has been dropping lower - the cycle we KNOW she hit 20's she bounced to high blue, what if the yellows are bounces from 20's too? It looks like she might have dropped on 4/28 PM and 4/30 AM. If tonight is yellow, then we can be pretty sure that's what is happening.

OMG -- That Fuji is a heartbreaker!!
