Hi all --- I know it's late - just could not get to this any sooner.

Yesterday's Condo

We started high today - wow: 388, but have/are winding up the day with really nice numbers: 135 @ +4. More RBC this AM - and as always I am glad to see it clearing so quickly, despite all these recent trips to the trampoline.

Labs are back - I am really pleased with the results. All look great. Cholesterol and triglycerides were a bit high, but since he had just eaten prior to this blood draw, and there was no fasting, perhaps that explains those levels.... ??? Anyways - what do you guys think? Link is posted below:

WCR: great!!!! one happy kitty - he passed labs. and he knows it.... nasty weather here, so he's just been camped out, purring and preening and eating and sleeping. the cats life!

Labs look pretty good, dunno Mannie's past history though. His lymphocytes are low which *could* mean something but cats also get a low lymphocyte count at the vet due to stress. If he is sick and has other symptoms, you'll need to do more testing to figure out if that is true. His platelets are low but he has platelet clumps. Rouleaux formation is generally not significant in cats -- it means his blood cells stuck together in a certain pattern, and cats are well-known to do this. (I'm actually a little surprised they commented on it.) Kidneys/liver look good. Did you have a urinalysis too, and a blood pressure at least 1x/year if he's an older fellow?
 
hey - thanks so much for taking a peek. i appreciate your comments! no urinalysis, as by this point he was having nothing to do with that, so will try again in the future....

he's 13, almost 14 - and healthy short of the FD thing...
 
Hi Michelle

You can catch urine at home for a urinalysis (a ladle under the rump while he's in the litterbox works well), and I would do that if I were you. You want to keep track of her urinalyses. Also, make sure he gets a BP at his next check up, and has one at least once a year.
 
Hi, and will do - with the urine thing. Sounds easy enough.... :smile: and yes on the BP - I do ever year, at general yearly exam, and sometime more often, if he is up there for any other reason.

To be repetitive - thanks for taking a peek. Some of these numbers I understand, some I do not. So - am grateful for your comments, and I will take it all into account, and ask what questions I need to ask, and do what research I need to do.
