4/13 Lanky AMPS 418, 2nd Docrease, PMPS 517

Hello All, Lanky is perky, talking alot & ate well this AM. He is patrolling around looking for the other the kitties leftovers (because he does not have any) but he isn't going to find them because I am saving them for a mid-morn snack. Lanky has gained ~ 1.5 pounds since dx in early March now weighing about 13.5 pounds. He seems so hungry so much of the time. He has always had a very healthy appetite. We keep seeing red, pink & hi yellows so up goes the dose to 3.0u. I have an appointment from noon to 3 pm so will miss that testing but will do some before I leave & as soon as I get home. Sure hope we can get his #'s down soon, I remember how the board preaches patience. I do, I do, I do remember!

The being patient part really sucks.. I'm absolutely horrible at it myself.. but sometimes it takes going up to a pretty decent sized dose to break through .. hang in there.. before you know it you'll be looking back wishing you had taken more naps during these higher cycles

It's not unusual for kitties to be hungry all the time until they are better regulated. Once Lanky's numbers start to come down, his appetite will wind down, as well. It's the nature of FD for them to be hungry. Glucose (the body's food) isn't getting into the cells. Instead, it's floating around in the blood.

Poor Lanky, things don't seem to be going his was just yet. His PM dose is 3.0 units in about 10 minutes.
