Say a prayer for Spicey

Hello Everyone,

It has been a long time since I have been around. Just wanted to have everyone say a prayer or give hope for spicey. Took her in today to the vet. She isn't feeling well, has not eaten since Sat 3-5-11, hiding being lathargic. Vet said that her body temp is low which is not good maybe a sign of her shutting down. She looks like she might have liver issues, top of her mouth is yellow instead of pink. She is really dehyrdated. She will be with the vet until 4 pm today. I just feel bad for her because it looks like it may be close to maybe putting her down. I get so emotional even thinking about it but after seeing her act the way she did today my heart says it may be time. I don't know yet. We will see. Just keep her in your thoughts today.

Cats that stop eating, cause as yet unknown, can go into fatty liver quickly. If she is yellow, it may be that. Her ALT and AST may be high also but that can also come down with treatment. Sometimes a feeding tube is needed ASAP which buys time to see if there is a problem that can be treated, or if there is a cancer going on. Sometimes we never know but the feeding tube turns them around. Prayers coming for your beautiful Spicey.
