Barbara has a new female Cat....and WE get to help name it.....okay....throw the choices out!!!

NO!!! I'm going to bring her to you...leave her on your doorstep! I'm not claiming this pitiful thing yet. I'm still hopefull I can find a home for her. Anyone want a black cat, I think her name is KIM!!!

If she's going to Kim, then her name should be "NewVial". We can get creative and spell it "Nuvyle" maybe?

Carl

Did I tell you guys that I just moved.....I will forward my new contact information to Ginny to pass along to you!

Moving closer to VA so you don't have to drive so far to pick up the new kitty!!??

Carl

Ginny, Did you get the new contact information I sent you? Please be sure to update my change of address on the "list!"

Seriously, if she's mostly black go with something like Midnight or Onyx. Fairly standard but you can get creative with spelling. Or pick somethingthat matches her personality (if you've seen enough). I have a student who named a b&w cat Oreo (and now she's trying to give it away-once it's named it's yours).

I will find you....at work!

Barbara,
If Kim moves, you could always leave Nuvyle on the steps.....of the Beach House!
Carl

Well, I would have a hard time choosing between Nuvyal & Rainbow so Kim you need 2 new kitties!

Wow, 2 new kitties would be the perfect housewarming gift when Kim gets settled into her new home.

Or maybe they could bring back that 70s/80s show "Eight is Enough"...

LOL. I would have thought i gave it away knowing richard simmons' vhs tapes were titled "sweatin' with the oldies"!
Okay... who else owned 8-tracks???
Carl

How about Candle for the name of the new kitty in honor of Kim?
8-track players that brings back memories of cruising and listening to Peter Frampton. :o

Frampton Comes Alive?
I really loved how if the song wasn't over when the tape ran out, it would just fade out and fade back in when the "track" switched.
I was in a thrift store recently and they actually had a box of old 8-tracks for sale for .25 each. I almost went for it, but they didn't have a player!
Carl

I had a bunch. I still remember where the "click-click" was in the middle of some songs. Like Boston’s first album. And Lynyrd Skynyrd Gold and Platinum. The Doobie Bros. Yeah. Memories.

Ok, I remember 8 tracks, I couldn't imagine how those cheap little plastic cassetts were going to take over @-)

I met Peter Frampton once and was sooooo disappointed. At 5'4" I towered over him  and he had shaved his head, I didn't believe it was really him until I saw him on stage later. The concert was incredible though, "Do you, Do, feel like I do"

I am going to have to quit "hanging out" with you old people. I mean really.........though, I do recall everyone you are mentioning....it was more like Lionel Richie, the Bee Gees, and K C and the Sunshine Band for me!

Maybe we can talk about dentures next! Who uses Polident?!!!!

Oh wow, I knew he was short but not that short. I would be like a giant next to him at 5'10".
I remember how the 8 tracks would click in the middle of a song, I remember in the middle of Lynard Skynard's "The Breeze" it clicked right in the middle of it.
And remember how when you played one so much, you could hear the other tracks playing in the background of the track you were listening to?

For my senior class trip we went to Great Adventure (I think it’s Six Flags now) in NJ and the concert was KC and the Sunshine Band. I didn’t go to the concert tho. Not into KC. I was into harder rock at that point in my life

If it makes you feel any better, I have a couple KC tunes on my IPOD.

Yes! and sometimes the background songs were playing "backwards". There was a fix for that... you took a matchbook (omg, do they still even sell those?) and folded in in half or twice in half, and jammed it either under or over the tape, so that the "right" part of the tape lined up with the tape heads...... lol, I remember hearing "hey, who's got an empty book of matches on them?"
At least we aren't so old yet that we can't remember those days, right?

OMG you could use the top of his head to set your drink on  . He was touring with Ringo Star's All Star Band and Ringo was doing photo ops with anyone who wanted a picture but Peter was above pictures with us, but I took pictures anyway, just not with us, someday when I get my film pics scanned into the laptop I'll post the pics.

Ahhhh the good old days.

Kim, no polident here yet.

Ya'll are having too much fun....I'm too busy to play! Seems like everything I thought was under control is taking up too much time! Yes, the cat is still hanging out...sleeping in the garage at night and not leaving the backyard during the day. There's a low cost clinic at a pet store in Va Beach on Sunday so I'm going to take her over there to get tested for FeLV then maybe bring her into the spare bedroom. Then I can start trying to get one of the rescue places to take her....just fooling myself...they've never taken any I've found before!
